The Bargain Box was established in 1965 as a low-cost shopping alternative for Hilton Head Island workers, residents and visitors, and maintains that tradition by offering gently used, donated goods at bargain prices in our thrift shop.
We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization that provides in-kind support to social agencies, and awards cash grants from the proceeds of our thrift shop to charities in Beaufort County. Since 1965 The Bargain Box has served well over 50 organizations and has returned nearly $13 million need locally.

AND MORE. We depend on your patronage to continue our support for those in need in the area.
DONATE YOUR GENTLY USED ITEMS FOR SALE IN OUR THRIFT SHOP – We accept almost all usable items and have extensive hours for donation drop-off and provide a free pick-up service for large donated items. VOLUNTEER TO HELP OUT – We welcome volunteers, and offer flexible work schedules and a wide range of available activities.
